Genius School is excited to announce that it has become a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). As an international school committed to providing a holistic education that prepares students for success in a globalized world, we believe that the IB MYP aligns perfectly with our mission and values.
The IB MYP is a challenging and comprehensive programme designed for students aged 11 to 16. It is based on a framework of eight subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design. The programme emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, intercultural awareness, and personal development.
They are also required to complete a Personal Project or Community Project in their final year of the programme, which allows them to explore an area of personal interest and develop important research and organizational skills.
At Genius School, we believe that the IB MYP will help our students become lifelong learners who are equipped to succeed in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. By emphasizing inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and intercultural awareness, the programme will help our students develop the skills they need to navigate a rapidly changing global landscape.
We are also excited about the opportunities that the IB MYP will provide for our students to connect with other learners around the world. As an international school, we value diversity and strive to create a learning environment that is inclusive and welcoming to students from all backgrounds. The IB MYP will give our students the opportunity to engage with learners from other IB schools, participate in international events, and develop a global perspective.
Becoming a candidate school for the IB MYP is a significant milestone for Genius School. It reflects our commitment to providing a world-class education that prepares our students for success in an increasingly interconnected world. We look forward to working with the IB community as we continue to develop our programme and prepare our students for a bright and successful future.
